Emily Scissley Schultz married Harry Esmond Rowley and lived in Lenswood on an orchard for many years. She was born in May 1911 and died in August 2005. They had six children; Joyce, Dene, Rosemary, Pam, John and Merilyn. Joyce has shared her oral history with us which we will soon upload to our oral history pages.
Em Rowley was well known in the community being active in the many areas including the School Welfare Club and the first Ladies Bowling Club President.
Still me: twelve women talk about ageing featured the story of Emily in her own words. You may view this book online at this link (wait a moment for the images to load).
